He runs one of the largest agencies in Singapore. Let's call him "X". X believes with all his heart that "if you are good, people will know". This is why X never invested in branding.
X has experienced leaders.
X has revolutionary tech.
X has a proven method of running the agency.
Two years ago, the company brought in a new agency director. Let's call him "Y". Y was younger and had lesser experience in the industry. But Y believed in branding.
As a result of Y's branding efforts, agents flocked to his agency and the young agency became a formidable competitor to X.
This afternoon I had the chance to meet X and he wants me to help him level the playing field.
X: "You taught Y. I will like you to teach me too."
