Sorry but I am not who you think I am đ
It seems like many have the impression
that I am ALWAYS motivated and happy.
If you think the same, I am sorry to disappoint.
Because I am not.
There are some days when I feel lazy and moody.
I just donât post about such days because wellâŚ
I am too lazy to post haha.
âBut Eric, if you do have days of laziness and moodiness,
why are you able to accomplish so much more than others?â
Short answer: I learn to work with my energy.
When I feel motivated and focused,
I direct the energy into my most important projects.
When I feel lazy and distracted,
I take walks to clear my mind.
When I feel moody,
I watch comedies on Netflix.
When I feel tired,
I rest.
So the key is to be AWARE OF YOUR ENERGY
and work with them, not against them.
Hereâs a fun exercise to try.
Pick a day.
And pay close attention to your energy level.
When does your energy spikes?
When does your energy dips?
Once you know your âpeak energy period(s)â in a day
schedule your most important tasks during this time.
Tasks like strategic thinking, personal development
and execution of key projects.
In other words, reserve your best energy doing the
most important things.
Also notice your âlow energy period(s)â in a day.
And then deliberately plan activities that can help you
recharge.
Perhaps a workout?
Coffee with a successful individual?
Or playing with your baby/pet?
You may not be the most motivated or happiest person
in your company.
But if you know how to work with your energy, you will
become the most productive person in your company!
Your #1 fan,
Eric Feng
